If creating a new profile solves your issue, you can return to the Show Profiles dialog and delete your old profile. If you try to delete or move a large number of messages at once, Outlook can appear to freeze, but really, it's working behind the scenes. If Outlook is performing some operation on hundreds or thousands of messages at once, it might appear to be stuck. Give Outlook a few minutes to finish the process and it should start to work again. If Outlook isn't stuck at a screen that says "Processing," or this didn't resolve your issue, continue to the steps below. Use the classic Outlook startup troubleshooter to diagnose and fix several common classic Outlook for Windows issues for you.
There are three steps you can take to try to get Outlook working again. When you are unable to log into the add-in, or the add-in does not load correctly, uninstall then reinstall the add-in. We have multiple tools to help you automatically diagnose an issue, troubleshoot, and fix problems with Outlook. If you are having problems with Outlook, there are a few things we can help with to get you back to sending and receiving your email.
Over time several add-ins would have been installed into your Outlook user profile. Each of these add-ins needs to be loaded into memory before starting Outlook.
